August 18, 2020 //  by WanderBarn

Listen to “Healing Mental Health & Trauma Through Yoga with Meghan Pherrill” on Spreaker.

This week on Matcha Mornings, Amanda is joined by Meghan Pherrill. Meghan is the founder of Balance by Meghan, a yoga and meditation teacher, and a lover of travel, essential oils, and crystals.

On this episode of the podcast, Meghan shares her journey with depression, anxiety, OCD, and sexual abuse and how she was able to heal her mental health and her trauma through her yoga and meditation practice. Meghan also shares how her love of yoga turned into a career and she shares why she’s passionate about teaching yoga and meditation.

Meghan’s story is very empowering, but it’s also traumatic, so if you are triggered by discussions around mental health and sexual abuse, please use your discretion when listening.

Enjoy!

Discussed in this Episode:

  • Meghan’s journey with health and wellness
  • Struggling with OCD, depression and anxiety and how sexual abuse made it worse
  • How yoga helped Meghan get off her medication and still her mind
  • The power of mindfulness and manifestation and how it can really heal the body and the mind
  • How do we move forward, let go of and perhaps even find gratitude from the trauma that we’ve gone through?
  • Meghan’s journey becoming a yoga teacher
  • How Meghan was able to shift her eating habits and start eating healthier
  • And much more… Here’s the episode!
