How Yoga Can Help with Mental Health & Balance with Lily Allen-Duenas

You are here: Home / Matcha Mornings / How Yoga Can Help with Mental Health & Balance with Lily Allen-Duenas

November 30, 2021 //  by WanderBarn

This week on Matcha Mornings, I am joined by Lily Allen-Duenas. Lily is an international yoga and meditation teacher, as well as the founder of Wild Yoga Tribe and the Wild Yoga Tribe podcast. She helps overwhelmed individuals reduce their emotional overload, and find balance, breath, and space for self-care.

In this episode, Lily shares her journey with yoga, health, and wellness and what inspired her to become a yoga teacher. We also dive into the benefits of yoga beyond the physical asana, including how it can benefit our mental health, bring peace to our lives, help with balancing a busy, stressful life, and much more.

Enjoy!

Discussed in this episode:

  • How did Lily start learning about health and wellness
  • What motivated Lily to make the jump from her corporate marketing career to start teaching yoga
  • The end goal of yoga is a lot more than becoming more flexible
  • What are the mental health benefits people experience with yoga?
  • How yoga can support your immune and digestive health
  • If you’re someone who is more stressed day to day, how can you get started with using yoga to support your recovery
  • How to incorporate meditation and yoga into your morning routine
  • What are self-care habits that can make a big difference day to day
  • And much more… Here is the episode!
