Finding Joy in Healthy Eating with Tina McDermott

You are here: Home / Matcha Mornings / Finding Joy in Healthy Eating with Tina McDermott

July 20, 2021 //  by WanderBarn

This week on Matcha Mornings, Amanda is joined by Tina McDermott. Tina is a chef, speaker, and weight loss coach who is inspiring women to find joy in the kitchen even if they don’t like to cook so they can live a life that is healthy, vibrant, and free. She has been working in the health and wellness industry for almost 20 years. Tina was born to help people through health, wellness, and exercise, and there is nothing more that she would like to do with her life!

In this episode, we’re talking about Tina’s journey to health and wellness and how she fell in love with healthy eating, fitness, and helping others with that. We also talk about how to stop dieting and start loving the food that you’re eating, tips for eating healthier, and how to create simple and easy healthy meals.

Enjoy!

Discussed in this episode:

  • What is Tina’s background with health and wellness?
  • How her own health challenges and her sisters battle with cancer inspired Tina to work with others to improve overall health
  • What were the first lifestyle changes that Tina made?
  • The emotional side of cravings and understanding the feelings that drive us to over-eat
  • Tina’s recipe for freezer chocolate
  • How to do we get past extreme yo-yo dieting
  • Why salad in a jar is a great food option to prep in advance
  • How can you make sure you’re making healthy smoothies
  • Why being present with our feelings and trusting our instincts with food are the most important things to finding our health
  • And much more… Here is the episode!
